Slate Wall, 2006
Commissioned by Grosvenor and Native Land, London UK
H 8’ 3”, L 113’ 2”
24,000 roofing slates.
Slate Wall was built to respond to the light; the vertical and horizontal stacking of the slates differentiates how light operates on the wall’s surface at any given time. It is the first that he built of such length and as an exterior surface to a preexisting wall. |
