The exhibition explores the vibrant relationship between Black and Brown boys (K-12) and dandy culture through four generations (Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z), revealing how style becomes both armor and expression in the journey of boyhood. Tracking the evolution from Boomer-era "Fly" through Millennial "Swag" to Gen Z's "Drip," the show reveals how each generation has crafted its unique visual language of self-expression within crucial spaces of boyhood — from school hallways and street corners to barbershops, courts and fields, and family homes. This intergenerational narrative examines broader themes of education, identity formation, masculinity and machismo, gender fluidity, racial consciousness, incarceration, and spiritual faith.
