The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMoCA) presents In Women's Words, 121 works by 65 contemporary Iranian women artists drawn from the museum's permanent collection. In addition to artworks, the museum will also screen several documentary films on artists included in the exhibition. “Writing the history of art without considering women’s perspectives is impossible. The viewpoints of women artists, and the angles from which they have looked at life, certainly complete the history of art," says one of the curators of In Women's Words. She emphasizes the importance of the exhibition and of women’s position in Iranian visual arts, especially modern art. Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian, one of the most influential Middle Eastern artists of her generation, will have multiple works on display in the exhibition.
