Binh Danh: Advancing American Art is now open at the Jule Museum located at Auburn University. The exhibition is on view alongside the museum's Fall exhibitions that all examinine “belonging” through American art. Binh Danh, a recipient of the 2024 William Collins Smith Auburn Award, explores his Vietnamese heritage, landscapes and memory through experimental and vintage photography techniques. Known for pioneering the chlorophyll print—a process using sunlight to imprint images onto leaves—and his mirrored daguerreotypes of the United States National Parks, Danh’s photography centers questions around memory, history and identity, asking viewers how they see themselves and others in the American story.
