Eden Project has announced a new major exhibition, Extinction: Renewal, Art of a Living Planet, organized by the conservation charity Explorers Against Extinction. Bringing together sculpture, photography, film and contemporary art by more than 35 global artists, the exhibition explores humanity’s relationship with the natural world throughout time. Andy Goldworthy's video work Three River Works, Dumfriesshire, 2023, will by included in the exhibition. Created using ancient Happisburgh flints, a hand-axe and flake dating back over 600,000 years BCE, Goldsworthy produces color from Scottish ironstone. David Nash's sculptural work comprising of 800,000-year-old pine cones recovered from the sediments of Happisburgh beach and mounted on an oak base, Faraway Trees (2024), will also be on display. Both of the artists' works will be for sale at the exhibition's conclusion.
