Time, Truth, and Other Immeasurables explores experiences that resist calculation. Frameworks can be created to define the experiences on view, however, they cannot fully capture how we exist within them. This exhibition delves into artists whose work explores the forces that continue to shape our lives and yet remain unquantifiable. Time, truth, vastness, spirituality, deep time, and history as it unfolds in the moment. In an era driven by data and measurable outcomes, Time, Truth, and Other Immeasurables invites its visitors to embrace the often felt but rarely articulated ethereal. Andy Goldsworthy's Flag stained with earth from all fifty states of the USA. Flown in Scotland on the 3rd of November 2020 (2020) will be on display in the exhibition. The film originates from the artwork Red Flags, comprising fifty 5 x 8-foot flags, each stained red with earth collected from one of the fifty US states, offering further insight into the origins of the materials and the nature of the artist’s process.
